Hapkikwan is a martial art, founded by Prof. Boris Krivokapic, Ph.D.
He founded it in 1994, after 20 years of studing and practicing martial arts.

He started with Judo and Ju-Jitsu (1974-1980), karate (1979-1983), and then continued with the WTF Taekwondo (since 1983) and Hapkido (since 1993).

Although he started with developing the Art as early, as in 1994, Prof. Krivokapic has dedicated himself to it fully since 2002, when the present name was introduced.

In a very simplified way, the name "Hapkikwan" means "school of energy harmonization" ("hap" - harmony, "ki"- energy, "kwan"- school).

In very simplified terms, Hapkikwan can be undestood as a school of hapkido, but with some elements from Ju-Jutsu, Karate, Sambo and even Western Boxing.
